On Wednesday December 10th, Grammy nominated singer Judy Pancoast will be presenting an outdoor Christmas concert at the Dicken Christmas Holiday Lighting Display as part of her fifth annual "The House on Christmas Street Tour". Pancoast sings her original and classic Christmas music on the lawns and in driveways of Christmas decorating enthusiasts. In 1998 Pancoast wrote a song called "The House on Christmas Street' that is a tribute to those mega Christmas lighting displays she has loved her entire life. "There seems to be one of those houses in every town," says Pancoast, "but to my knowledge nobody had ever written a song about it." Little did Pancoast know that the song she wrote about these dedicated animated lighting enthusiasts would become their anthem and used in displays as far away as Australia.
"We are very excited to host Judy's Tour again this year. It was a huge success in 2012 and we hope to see a lot of the same and some new faces this year. We are once again using this concert as a Toy Drive for the McLean County Toys For Tots program." Said Bobby Dicken, create of A Dicken Christmas.
The concert will begin at 7:00pm at the Dicken home at 706 Trimmer Dr. in Hudson, Illinois. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new/unwrapped toy for the McLean County Toys For Tots program.
