Emergency services is comprised of agencies and organizations which ensure public safety and health. Some agencies exist solely to address a particular type of emergency or situation while others deal with day-to-day emergency response. Of equal importance to the emergency response services these groups provide is their community awareness and prevention programs that educate the public on how to avoid, detect, and report emergencies. |
Hudson Police Department
The Hudson Police Department proudly serves the communities of both the Village of Hudson and the Town of Towanda. In addition to these direct responsibilities the Hudson Police Department also serves as backup to many of the surrounding communities as well as the State of Illinois Police. Working in close coordination with the Hudson Township Fire Department the departments 8 sworn officers play a vital role in the overall Emergency Management System for the communities they serve. Hudson Community Fire Protection District
Comprised of both volunteer and career firefighters, all of which are considered professionals, this group of brave men and women serve the Village of Hudson and surrounding communities. Stationed at the newly built fire station at 502 N. Broadway the Hudson Community Fire Protection District is a part of the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) and is in fact the home of this area's Underwater Recovery Team. McLean County Emergency Management Agency
The McLean County Emergency Management Agency is the official governmental agency that responds to and provides support for emergencies and disasters. Our mission is preparing for and carrying out disaster response and recovery as may be necessary or proper to prevent, minimize, repair, and alleviate injury and damage resulting from disasters occurring by natural or man-made causes. |

With the McLean County Emergency Management Agency, Hudson Police Department and Hudson Fire Department all utilizing NIxle for emergency communication, Village of Hudson residents are encouraged to subscribe to this free service to ensure they receive critical emergency management alerts.
