Parks & Reservations |
Spread across 10 acres the Village of Hudson maintains several parks, pavilions and fields for the benefit and enjoyment of village residents. Used throughout the year by local Hudson clubs to host events these parks serve as the primary gathering place of the community. As a resident or locally recognized club the parks, pavilions and fields are available for your exclusive use by reservation. All parks, pavilions and fields are open between sunrise and 10:00 pm. Alcohol and firearms are prohibited at all parks, pavilions and fields. |
Township Hall Reservations
As it's name implies the Township Hall is a Hudson Township facility and is not owned or managed by the Village of Hudson. Reservations can be made by calling the Hudson Township at 309-726-1721.

The Village of Hudson boasts multiple parks and recreational areas including three covered pavilions, two full size baseball fields, a full size soccer field and a full size basketball court. The three pavilions feature a variety of amenities including BBQ grills and picnics tables making them a great place for birthday parties or family reunions. Please review the following terms and requirements before making a reservation.

- You must be a resident of Hudson, Illinois to make a reservation.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to make a reservation.
- All reservation are tentative until approved.
- Reservations are approved at the discretion of the Village of Hudson staff.
- Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
- Reservations can be made online or by calling the Village of Hudson office at 309-726-1070.
Friendship Park & Pavilion
Friendship Park is located at 702 Trimmer Drive in the northeast corner of Hudson. This quaint little park is nestled within Havens Subdivision. Amenities at this park include a playground, small pavilion, picnic table, potable drinking facility, and limited off street parking spaces. There are no restrooms at this park. |
Heineke Baseball Field
Named after now retired Village of Hudson employee Frank Heineke this ball field has covered dug outs, bleachers and lights for night time games. A concession stand and restrooms are conveniently located next to this field for spectators and players alike. |
Memorial Park & Pavilion
Veterans Memorial Park is located at 209 Front Street near the downtown area. This park is dedicated to those whom served in the Military and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Local historical monuments are also found in the park. This park has a large pavilion with 8 picnic tables, children's playgrounds, a full length basketball court, potable water, an outdoor grill, and electric services available. There are no restrooms at this park. |
Turner Baseball Field
Named after Ace Turner, who generously donated the land where this field is built, this ball field has covered dug outs, bleachers, an electronic scoreboard, and lights for night time games. A concession stand and restrooms are conveniently located next to this field for spectators and players alike. |
Waller Park & Pavilion
The largest of Hudson's parks is Waller Park, which gets it's namesake from former Village of Hudson Mayor William "Bill" Waller. Waller Park The park is located on the west end of Hudson on Pearl Street. The park has a pavilion with 8 picnic tables perfect for large family gatherings or special outings, a large children's playground, an outdoor grill, and restroom facilities are available. Ample parking is available. Adjacent to Waller Park are two lighted baseball diamonds named Turner Field and Heineke Field. A concession stand is conveniently located next to this field for spectators and players alike. |
Waller Soccer Field
Located next to Waller Park and Turner Baseball field this full size soccer field has movable nets and is often striped in the fall during the children's soccer league season. Village of Hudson staff keep this field meticulously groomed throughout the year. A concession stand and restrooms are conveniently located next to this field for spectators and players alike. |
Hudson Elementary School Baseball Field
Located on the north west side of Hudson Elementary school this ball field has been reconditioned thanks to Unit 5, the Village of Hudson, the Hudson Women's Club, the Hudson Lions Club and the Hudson Havoc softball team. Although this field is not competition quality it makes for a great practice field. |
