Starting March 23rd, work will begin on the elevated water storage tank located at 109 Front Street in Hudson. The scope of the work will be sandblasting and painting the interior and exterior of the tower. All of the work will be in compliance with OSHA and in coordination with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. The village has also coordinated with the Hudson Fire Department for the Fire Department needs during the completion of this project. During the time of this project, the water tower will be offline and portable pressure tanks will be brought in to supply the water to the village. We ask our residents to conserve water where they can as the capacity for water being stored will be diminished. The timeline for this project is March 23rd through July 1st, depending on weather. Thank you for your consideration during this time. If you have concerns or questions, please call Jeff at the Water Department at 726-1471 or you can complete a contact form on the village website.

This year's Village of Hudson Illinois Halloween Trick or Treat hours are Saturday 10/31/15 between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. Because many of the trick or treat hours are after dark parents are reminded that there are several easy and effective behaviors that parents can share with kids to help reduce their risk of injury. It is strongly recommended that parents reinforce these safety behaviors with their children right before going out to trick or trick to keep it at the forefront of everyone's mind.
Drivers play an equally big role in the Halloween safety and are reminded to slow down and be alert, especially in residential neighborhoods. Curbside limb pick is over for 2015 and will resume again April 2016. Any limbs that are currently on the curb will not be picked up. Please remember that limbs are not permitted in the Village of Hudson landscape bunker. You may contact the Village of Hudson Water Department staff with any questions.
